What you’ll learn

LO1 — Prepare for and conduct a safe, person-centred head-to-toe nursing assessment using inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation appropriately.
LO2 — Assess neurological, head/neck, respiratory and cardiovascular systems systematically and recognize findings requiring urgent escalation.
LO3 — Assess abdominal, genitourinary-relevant, musculoskeletal, peripheral neurovascular and skin findings while maintaining dignity and privacy.
LO4 — Integrate physical findings with history, vital signs, baseline status and trends to distinguish expected findings from clinically significant change.
LO5 — Document and communicate assessment findings accurately, prioritize deterioration, and adapt assessment to GCC multilingual, cultural and employer-specific requirements.

Systematic adult nursing physical assessment and clinical reasoning. This digital module supports knowledge and decision-making; employer-specific examination, documentation, escalation, chaperone, infection-prevention and scope-of-practice policies take precedence.
